Fees
Fees are payable at the time of your appointment. Medicare rebates are processed on the spot, with the rebate typically paid back into your account within 1–2 business days.
All appointments are privately billed. This allows me to offer longer, more personalised consultations and take the time to properly address your concerns.

Discounted fees
Discounted fees are available for concession card holders and children less than 16 years of age. These are $10 less than the standard fee for each consultation length.
Please note that concession discounts do not apply to procedures or specialised appointment types.
Additional Fees
Procedures (such as Implanon insertion/removal, Mirena insertion, or skin biopsies) and investigations (such as ECGs, spirometry, or pregnancy tests) will incur additional fees.
Some appointment types—such as care plans and health assessments—attract different Medicare item numbers and fee structures. However, your out-of-pocket cost for the consultation will not exceed the out-of-pocket fee for a standard time-based consultation of equivalent duration.

Medicare Safety Net
The Medicare Safety Net helps reduce your out-of-pocket costs once you reach a certain threshold in a calendar year. The gap-fee from most medical appointments will contribute towards your safety net, including GP appointments, specialist appointments, psychology appointments when using a mental health care plan, allied health when using a care plan referral, and most medical imaging (scans).
The 2026 Extended Medicare Safety Net thresholds are:
- Standard Safety Net threshold: $2,699.10
- Concession/Family Tax Benefit Part A threshold: $861.20
Once you reach the threshold, Medicare will pay a higher rebate (up to 80% of your out-of-pocket costs) for eligible services for the rest of the year.
I recommend registering your family as a Medicare Safety Net family, as this allows your combined out-of-pocket costs to count toward the threshold sooner.

From 2027, MyMedicare registration will be required to continue having access to medicare rebates for care plans and home medicine reviews.
